9.4/10Lovely colonial-style bungalow, in a great location. The tea estate is fantastic, just wandering around and saying hello to the villagers was fun. Lots of walks to do nearby (the descent from Idulgashina station is a beautiful, easy hike, and then walk down through Bathgoda village is great for counting all the different fruit and vegetables being grown). Otherwise, just sit on the verandah and read a book, enjoy the view, or sleep off one of Pria’s excellent meals
9.8/10Haldummulla is a very special place! The location is absolutely stunning, in the mountains, surrounded by the tea plantations. You can sit on the porch and look at the view for hours. Priya cooks fabulous food and she was super helpful during our stay. We visited the Needwood factory and local waterfalls, and did some beautiful hikes from the house with two young kids. Great to unwind for relaxing days in quiet and fresh environment, with lots of interaction with the local community, which we enjoyed a lot.
