Villa 234 - Dutch Bay is perfect for romantic couples and small families in the mood for a lovely beach holiday in exotic Sri Lanka.
Villa 234 - Dutch Bay can sleep up to 2 people. It houses 1 air-conditioned bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe space, bathroom and a cozy mezzanine. The other guest can sleep on the sofa bed in the fully air-conditioned living room at extra cost. Complimentary toiletries are provided.
The charming private outdoor area has white walls, pebble stones and palm trees. There is a picnic-style dining table for breakfast to the sound of the sea and from the garden, you can access the rooftop sundeck. Step through the door in the back, and you are standing on the beach. Ready for a dive in the sea? There are sunbeds and a large parasol placed on the beach for relaxing all day long and working on your tan a little if you feel like it.

The living space is air-conditioned and it features cool retro wallpaper in red and white colours. There is a sofa as well as a sofa bed where you can relax and watch movies on the television with cable channels and a large library of movies. Another room houses the villa’s fully-equipped kitchen and dining table. Upstairs, there is a shaded sundeck with fabulous views of the golden beach and turquoise sea. A great lounge spot for sunset drinks. Bring the portable Bluetooth speaker and you are all set for a romantic evening under the stars.
The friendly, welcoming owners of Villa 234 - Dutch Bay live just down the road and they are available on-call 24/7. The villa comes with housekeeping services but above all, you get to enjoy a lot of privacy. There is unlimited free wifi available and there is free-flow mineral water, coffee and tea.
The location is superb! Unlike most other hotels and villas in Sri Lanka, you get to stay on the beach which is great and truly idyllic! Dutch Bay is beautiful with calm blue and turquoise waters and golden sand. Perfect for swimming! The area where the villa is located in is friendly, residential and authentic Sri Lankan. You get to enjoy utter and complete privacy at the villa but outside you get a glimpse of authentic Sri Lanka. A large air-conditioned supermarket is nearby (around 10 minutes). You can also walk down to the historic Dutch Fort (Fort Frederique) in approximately 10 minutes.
10/10The most beautiful and peaceful spot! Doorway onto the beach with crystal clear water, what more could you want! The sheltered balcony gives you a beautiful view, we watched an electric storm roll in over the water. Outside shower is an awesome addition. Everything you need is in the property, great a/c etc. Dutch bay is a quiet spot away from the busy tourist areas of Trincomalee. Bakery and ice cream vans regularly come down the street, there are little local shops and bakery very close. We met a great tuktuk driver who lived on the street, who drove us to Nilaveli when we wanted to go out to dinner there. 15 minute tuktuk ride and very affordable. Our stay was perfect, thank you!
10/10The house, the town, the people, Kasthuri the housekeeper, Roshan our driver, foodie, and safari coordinator- all just magical. Then add in the beach, the food, the temples, the wildlife-just wow! The most amazing place we’ve ever visited! Highly, highly recommended!
10/10This beach villa was just as described - very well appointed and maintained and literally on the beach! We loved the many outdoor spaces (dining area, roof terrace, and beach loungers outside) and enjoyed the views very much. Janah was very communicative and the housekeeper, Kasthuri, was able to get us what we needed while in Trinco. When in season, I would very much recommend staying in this villa!
