Villa Amber Llama

This luxury home in Sri Lanka has 4 fabulous bedrooms for 8 guests. Katya on the ground floor is the master suite. It has a huge double bed and an adjoining dressing room and an ensuite bathroom with a tub. This bedroom opens to a wide veranda that overlooks the lush lawn. Next to this is George, which too has a super-king bed. Arched glass doors open to an outdoor covered sitting area where you can enjoy your morning beverage and evening drink peacefully.

Lucy on the mezzanine level is the largest bedroom in the house. It is meant for young children. The ensuite bathroom has a corner bathtub. The fourth bedroom, Arthur, is on the first floor. It has a king bed and high beamed ceilings. The three other bedrooms all have antique four-poster beds. all bedrooms in this villa have air conditioning and ensuite bathrooms.

Villa Amber Llama is a sprawling private estate surrounded by many tall trees and coconut groves. From the house, a manicured lawn will take you to the 16-meter private swimming pool and the many loungers surrounding it. There is an open pavilion named Ambalama on the poolside. This thatched-roof pavilion has an outdoor dining table, sofas, and recliners, where you can relax, spot birds and monitor lizards, dine alfresco style, or simply hang out with your group. On the lawn, you can play badminton and even kick a ball with the kids.

A covered terrace just steps away with elegant columns has a second outdoor lounging and dining area. A rustic tree-lined boundary wall encloses the property and gives you privacy and seclusion. Villa Amber Llama sits in a natural habitat sanctuary where you can see many birds, the odd white-faced monkey, mongoose, and monitor lizard. The wildlife is used to seeing guests so there is nothing to worry. The kids are going to love it.

The estate has many dining and lounging areas. There is the covered terrace, the poolside pavilion, and the living/dining space inside. On entering the house, you will reach a large room with a grand staircase going to the upper level. It has a formal living space on one side with cushy sofas and a dining table on the other side.

This family-friendly home offers something for every guest. On the mezzanine level, you will find a library with many novels, storybooks, board games, and jigsaws. Young children, and even adults, will love to spend time here. The kitchen has a barbecue and many appliances. The chef will prepare the breakfast with fruits, eggs, and toast with tea and coffee.

The beds have cotton sheets and colorful blankets. There are mosquito nets too. Choose air-conditioning or a ceiling fan depending on the outside temperature. Each bedroom has a walk-in shower with some of them having additional tubs. The villa’s staff is always eager to please you. They can wait for you with a cool drink while you are swimming. The bright and sunny air-conditioned lounge has a television with Netflix and a piano.
