Thambili House is based in Galle Fort – once a 16th century Dutch trading post and now distinguished as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Close to the villa – which is an attraction in itself – are the Fort Rampart, the Masjid Meera Jumma Mosque and the Galle Fort Light House.

The hotel is very charming and walking distance from the museum's and the lighthouse. The staff are very helpful and the breakfast was fantastic as well. The rooms are very large with magnificent 4 poster beds. So peaceful inside and ocean you step out all the restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Such a great location.
