There are 4 ensuite bedrooms with double beds in the main accommodation, and are equipped with balconies and private terraces that afford some of the most panoramic views of the paddy fields. Guests would be pleased to find that 3 of the rooms upstairs, including the Master Suite, have been thoughtfully-curated with a mix of antique and modern items, with 4-poster king-sized beds, mosquito netting, and cooling overhead fans. The flooring meanwhile is decked in cool, polished cement, or built from original Sri Lankan jackwood boards with high vaulted ceilings that offer a spatial dimension and the brightness of natural light. The final double room is located on the ground floor and is air-conditioned. If guests have a bigger group, they could also opt to lease the Garden Cottage which can sleep 2 pax within its studio residency.
Step outside and be mesmerised by the lush tropical gardens spanning 1.5 acres, while an equally large infinity pool looks out to the green and vibrant paddy fields which guests could also savour during their swims and dips. Sun loungers and hammocks surround the pool area for guests’ use of relaxation and nap times, while the south facing verandah is also available for guests to dine and wine alfresco within a lovely setting of paddy fields and garden greens.
The home interiors are cloaked in classic colonial vintage style with wooden furniture and furnishings occupying the various spaces such as the living hall and long walkway, juxtaposed against white walls that promise to transport guests to an atmosphere of the golden yesteryear. A wonderful flight of concrete steps take guests up to the 1st floor after guests are done exploring the spaces and rooms downstairs.

For starters, an experienced and English-speaking chef to help cook to order any meals for guests at a chargeable fee. This property lies inland from Habaraduwa near Galle in the quaint, charming village of Ginigala, where glorious sandy South Coast beaches can be reached with just a short tuk-tuk ride. The UNESCO Heritage Galle Fort can also be visited within a 25-minute ride distance.
