10/10We had the ocean villa that sleeps 4 and it was really great. Loads of room and a large private area outside for us to lounge about in. My son and daughter joined us a day later as a surprise for my other daughter who lives in Dubai and all the staff were in on our secret! My son and daughter initially stayed in a garden villa but the next day moved to an upstairs suite. All were exceptional and tastefully decorated. They had a huge bath in each room. The sea views are amazing. As it was low season some of the eating places in Weligama were closed so that did restrict us a bit as we like trying local places. Recommend the Roti shop , had a really good meal there and chose fish from the local sellers, excellent food. Staff were really helpful and we had our own butler, who looked after all our needs. Huge thank you to our driver today who dropped us at our next location, which to our dismay were not expecting us and the place was awful. Instead of leaving us there he waited, tried to help and then dropped us off at a local restaurant where we are still sitting and trying to find somewhere to stay. He found someone to look after our bags and they also tried to help , so 10 out of 10 for Eraeliya's driver today xx We wil definitely be back as we all had a fabulous time.
10/10The villas are quirky, but very nice. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The place is great for a get away from it all retreat, all meals are served in your rooms or outside on the terrace. The views over the water are wonderful and it is only a short tut tut ride to bars and restaurants as the hotel does not server alcohol.
10/10We stayed for two nights at Alaya suite in the main villa Bawana. Our room was amazing and its decoration also impressive. In front of our room there was a beautiful swimming pool with a whirlpool inside and some coconut trees around and some meters further the Indian Ocean. The environment was so beautiful, some monkeys were also jumping around on the trees and small squirrels were playing around. The breakfast was variable and really delicious. The food from the menu was also delicious and its price was normal. The staff was really friendly and kind. I would totally recommend this resort to anyone, as it provides you anything in order to have a relaxing and enjoying stay.
